Philip joined Hanna, Brophy, et al. in 1991 following 12 years of civil litigation practice with two California County Counsel Offices and the U. S. Army in the areas of business law, premises liability, personal injury and employment law to include wrongful termination, civil service, retirement and harassment/discrimination issues. He is a firm partner, LA Office Managing Partners as well as a State Bar Certified Workers' Compensation Specialist providing workers' compensation defense in addition to handling civil subrogation, CAL OSHA citation matters, serious and willful misconduct petitions and Labor Code S132a discrimination matters. Philip earned his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 1973 and received his J.D. from the University of La Verne, San Fernando Valley College of Law in 1976; as well as obtaining an M.B.A. in 1984 and an M.P.A. in 1989 from California State University, Bakersfield. He is a past president of the statewide California Workers' Compensation Defense Attorneys Association, and has membership in the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Association of Workers' Compensation Professionals, the California and American Bar Associations, the California Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
