Responsibilities Mr. Mufson co-founded Redwood Investments in 2004 and is responsible for day-to-day management of the firm. He serves as co-portfolio manager for all three equity investment strategies and has primary research coverage responsibilities for industrial, technology, telecom, and utility stocks. In addition, he directs the Redwood information technology effort including implementing the firm's proprietary quantitative model. He is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and has 22 years of investment experience. Prior to Redwood Investments Mr. Mufson has a long track record generating superior investment performance, launching new products, and successfully raising assets through multiple different distribution channels. Before Redwood, he was a Managing Director at Putnam Investments and member of the Executive Committee. Among the products he managed at Putnam were the TH Lee Putnam Emerging Opportunities Portfolio, Putnam OTC & Emerging Growth Fund, Putnam Vista Fund, and Putnam Capital Appreciation Fund. Each of these funds generated strong performance, enabling the firm to raise billions of dollars in assets. In addition to his portfolio management responsibilities, Mr. Mufson was charged with developing new products, managing investment professionals, and providing team leadership. His career started with Stein Roe & Farnham where he was a research analyst and portfolio manager for the Liberty Utility Fund, which was ranked #1 among utility funds during his tenure. In addition, Mr. Mufson serves on the Visiting Committee for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Board of Trustees for CJP and as a General Partner for the Mobile BayBears (AA Affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks).
