Doug is all about character. His aim is to help others succeed, whether they are school board members, a fellow employee within the Huckabee office, a building official for your project, or a child on Career Day. Doug is a facilitator: strengthening and empowering people is his joy. That passion translates to all of his projects. Speaking about the importance of master planning, Doug says, "The seeds of planning are necessary for a good building harvest. It is not merely by chance that something wonderful grows out of the ground." He will listen to understand your issues, then apply his architectural knowledge to provide fluid and flexible solutions to your district's needs. Doug has worked on more than 30 major projects while at Huckabee, totaling more than $250 million for school districts such as Mansfield, Grapevine-Colleyville, Graham, Eagle Mountain-Saginaw, Arlington and Prosper. Married to his wife, Sarah, for 20 years, Doug emphasizes learning as a top priority to their four children. In addition, he facilitates a men's group that focuses on courage and character.
