About Blaine Weber
Blaine Weber, AIA, leads Weber Thompson's Urban Projects/High-Rise Team. He has nearly 35 years of experience designing high-rise structures, luxury condominiums, mixed-use projects and a wide range of commercial projects, including office, retail, hospitality and developments for financial institutions. In 2006, Seattle Magazine selected Mr. Weber as one of 18 City Shapers, "key players that are creating a new Emerald City." A corporate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Mr. Weber is licensed in Washington, California, Colorado and Hawaii. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Hawaii, where he earned three Awards for Design Excellence from the AIA while studying under internationally acclaimed architects Jorn Utzon and Arata Isozaki. He has received extensive continuing education at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Mr. Weber is chairman of the governor-appointed Washington State Board for Architects. Previously, he was chairman of the Downtown Seattle Design Review Board, chairman of the Ethics & Practice Committee of Seattle AIA, vice chairman of the Belltown Housing and Land Use Task Force and president of the Board of Directors of Cristalla, a Belltown high-rise condominium that he designed. Mr. Weber's recent projects include Cristalla, Fifteen Twenty-One Second Avenue, Madison Tower/Hotel 1000, 6th and Wall, Colman Center, AVA, 1800 Terry Avenue, 1915 Second Avenue and other signature high-rise residential towers. Mr. Weber has authored numerous local and national articles about the design and development of high-rise residential and commercial office structures, as well as the marriage of architecture and market science.
