Jack Flanagan has been with the USO since 2007, developing and directing all USO operations supporting the active duty military community worldwide, as well as creating and implementing programs and services. Prior to joining the USO, Jack founded and served as president of Poseidon Consultancy LLC and also served as the executive vice president of Retail Operations at Giant Eagle, a $5.5 billion, 225-store, 35,000-employee top-tier regional supermarket chain ranked 32nd on the 2006 FORBES Private 500. Other roles included acting as East Coast vice president of distribution for Price Club, which subsequently merged with Costco Wholesale. Jack served as a U.S. Navy Supply Corps officer for 20 years, retiring in 1990 after serving as deputy commander, Navy Exchanges at the Navy Resale Office in Staten Island, N.Y. A native of Springfield, Mass., Jack graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1970 and the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif., in 1971.
