South Bay Regional Public Safety Training Consortium, also known as The Academy, is a non-profit organization based in San Jose, California. With a team of 116 employees, the organization plays a vital role in providing essential training to public safety professionals throughout the region. The Academy offers a wide range of certification programs encompassing law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical training, and dispatch services. These programs are designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their respective fields and serve their communities effectively. Established in 1994 through a collaborative effort between Gavilan College and Evergreen Valley College, The Academy operates under a Joint Powers Agreement with ten community colleges, ensuring a strong network of support and resources for its training initiatives.
