Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute

Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI) is a not-for-profit foundation based in Rosman, North Carolina. The organization employs 21 people and reports annual revenue over $10,000. PARI is dedicated to providing hands-on educational and research opportunities across a range of STEM disciplines. PARI offers a wide array of scientific instruments for both research and educational purposes. These instruments include two 26-meter radio telescopes, a 12.2-meter radio telescope housed in a radome, a 4.6-meter radio telescope, a high frequency Jupiter-Io/Solar antenna, several optical telescopes, five weather and atmospheric monitoring stations, and various environmental monitoring instruments. The institute aims to become a recognized center for world-class research in radio and optical astronomy while providing educational opportunities for students from K-12 to the post-doctoral level.
