Metropolitan District Commission

The Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) is a non-profit municipal corporation based in Hartford, Connecticut. Established in 1929 by the Connecticut General Assembly, the MDC is a regional provider of essential water and sanitation services. With 193 employees, the organization generates an annual revenue of $80 million. The MDC delivers a range of services, including potable water supply, water pollution control, mapping, and household hazardous waste collection.
