Drexel University ExCITe Center

Drexel University ExCITe Center is a research initiative located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With a staff of 2 employees, the Center brings together diverse individuals from various academic disciplines, including engineering, fashion design, digital media, performing arts, computer science, and product design. Drexel's Expressive and Creative Interaction Technologies (ExCITe) Center focuses on collaborative, arts-integrated research and education, emphasizing STEAM* principles. Through partnerships with institutions and organizations throughout Philadelphia, ExCITe aims to connect knowledge and resources within the community. Unique facilities housed at the ExCITe Center include the Shima Seiki Haute Technology Lab, situated in a 10,000 square-foot space. This visible street-level location, located at the corner of Market and 34th Streets in University City, provides dedicated areas for project collaboration, presentations, and co-working.
