Brazos County 911 District

The Brazos County 911 District is a public safety answering point (PSAP) serving the citizens of Brazos County, Texas. Established in 1988, the District operates a 24/7 multi-jurisdictional communications center. The District employs a team of over 40 dispatchers working from a hardened facility spanning over 8,000 square feet. The District provides emergency communications services to 13 local law enforcement and fire agencies within Brazos County. They own and operate the 9-1-1 network and infrastructure, handling over 100,000 calls annually across five answering points. Dispatchers undergo rigorous training, completing at least five months of initial instruction before working independently. All dispatchers are licensed as Telcommunicators by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).
