Tom is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Cisco Certified Network Associate who designs computer solutions and serves as an I.T. department turnaround specialist. He also manages Xantrion's consulting team. Outside of the office, Tom speaks for local organizations ranging from CalCPA to the Small Business Administration, and he writes the Technical Tips column for The Alameda County Bar Association Bulletin. Prior to founding Xantrion, Tom was Director of Consulting for a Bay Area I.T. consulting firm. He has also worked as a management consultant for McKinsey and Co.; prior to that, he was a research scientist and operations manager for Chevron. Tom has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
