Tom Kippola brings to Voyager extensive experience in market and business strategy development for information technology companies. Based in Silicon Valley, he has served as a Venture Partner to Voyager since 2000, and is a Managing Director with the Chasm Group, a nationally recognized Silicon Valley firm providing market and business strategy development services to high-technology companies. He spends over half of his time with Voyager companies. At Voyager, Tom has consulted with many of the firm's portfolio companies on their market strategies and product offerings, including ClearCommerce, Kryptiq, Tropos Networks, Elemental Technologies and Coulomb Technologies. Tom has written numerous articles that have appeared in such publications as Forbes ASAP and he is co-author of the best-selling book The Gorilla Game: Picking Winners in High Technology. Tom has been a keynote speaker at over 20 high technology industry conferences. Prior to his consulting career, Tom was Director of Marketing for a venture-backed developer of software for support automation. He graduated with a BGS from the University of Michigan, where he studied electrical engineering and business.
