As Senior Director of Purchasing and Program Management for AxleTech, Tom applies a total cost of ownership approach to purchasing strategy development to ensure both operational and commercial goals are attained on a consistent basis. Dedicated Supplier Development resources are in place to assure our quality and costs are best in class while prototype development resources offer their ready support to our global program management function. Prior to AxleTech, Tom spent more than seven years at ArvinMeritor(r) in roles of increasing responsibility up to his last position as Global Commodity Manager for forgings within their purchasing organization. Prior to ArvinMeritor(r), Tom held positions related to production planning, materials management and purchasing with organizations including Lear Corporation, Pilot Industries and Ford Motor Company where he began his career. Tom received his bachelors in Materials and Logistics Management with an emphasis in Purchasing from Michigan State University and an MBA from Oakland University .
