Tomis a partner in the State College office where he provides audit, accounting, tax and consulting services for a variety of clients and industry groups. Tom is a key member of several practice groups in the firm including the Small Business Group, Tax Services Group, and the Forensic, Valuation, and Litigations Services Group. He began his public accounting career with Ernst & Young in Charlotte, North Carolina where he served as a tax senior until becoming the managing partner of Taricani Associates in 1990. In November 1995, Taricani Associates merged with Boyer & Ritter and he became the partner-in-charge of the State College office. Professional Activities Tom is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and has participated on various committees of the PICPA. He currently serves on the PICPA's Federal Tax Committee. Tom is accredited in business valuations (ABV). The ABV credential was established by the AICPA to recognize CPAs with extensive professional experience in business valuation. He is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and has earned the designation of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). He also serves as a member of NACVA's national course review committee. Tom is a frequent lecturer and author of articles associated with family succession planning, estate planning and related fair market valuation issues.
