About Thomas Hotaling
Tom Hotaling's work includes transformations of existing settings, preservation and restoration of landmark structures, and new buildings for academic communities, museums, libraries, and religious institutions. His design work combines an in-depth understanding of the American architectural heritage and of the contemporary needs of cultural communities. Projects include the renovation and restoration of the Massachusetts Historical Society; restoration of Jordan Hall at the New England Conservatory of Music; a new Student Center at The Wheeler School; renovation and expansion of the Clark Art Institute; the new Weigle Information Commons at the University of Pennsylvania; and the Hawthorne-Longfellow Library at Bowdoin College. Tom Hotaling graduated from Dartmouth College and holds a Master of Architecture Degree from Washington University, where he is member of the University's National Council. He is a visiting lecturer for the Museum Studies Program at Harvard University and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Instituto Internacional, a language school and cultural center in Madrid. Tom Hotaling holds architectural licenses in the United States and in the United Kingdom.
