J. Stephen Eaton is co-founder and Managing Director of EDG Partners, LLC and has been an active investor in the healthcare industry with a background as a successful CEO. As an investor Mr. Eaton has been involved in numerous healthcare transactions where he has assisted growing companies in attracting key executive leadership, setting strategic direction and execution of business plans. His experience has included underperforming target acquisitions which required fundamental changes in both leadership and operating strategies. His background in a variety of healthcare sectors has allowed him to successfully target areas of opportunity that offer the most promising prospects for growth. Prior to EDG, Mr. Eaton was a founding shareholder and investor in a group of affiliated long-term care companies that have seen revenues grow from $250 million to $1 billion. In addition he, along with Mr. Dahl negotiated the purchase and led the investment in a well known homecare services company. After successfully recruiting executive leadership and completing an operational turn around this Company was sold in two separate transactions to public strategic purchasers. In 1989 Mr. Eaton founded Centennial HealthCare Corporation and acted as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership the Company grew to $400 million in revenues, completed an IPO and eventually was sold to a private equity firm. Mr. Eaton is also active in not for profit healthcare, currently serving as Chairman of the Board for a top 50 nationally ranked hospital system. In addition he is past Chairman of the Board and still actively involved in a nationally recognized community based healthcare provider that offers both mobile and fixed site clinical services to the homeless and other underserved populations. Mr. Eaton is also involved at a board level in two educational institutions and is active in a variety of community philanthropic initiatives.
