Stephen D. Axelrod has been in investment research, portfolio management, and financial communications for more than 30 years. Educated as an engineer and physicist at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, MIT, and Northeastern University, Mr. Axelrod worked in industry as a research scientist before beginning a career on Wall Street with a succession of major financial firms, including Bear Stearns and PaineWebber. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), he was a founder and first president of the Computer Industry Analysts Association. In 1991, Mr. Axelrod founded Axelrod Corporate Services, Inc., a financial communications and investor relations organization specializing in services for small, emerging growth companies. He merged his firm with Wolfe Lombard Associates in late 1992 to establish Wolfe Axelrod Associates and formed Wolfe Axelrod Weinberger Associates LLC in 1999.
