Her mortgage career began in 1982. Her educational background consists of a BA degree from University of Texas-Austin, and an MBA in Finance from University of Houston. She holds the highest professional mortgage industry designation, the "CMC", certified mortgage consultant. Stacy has spent her career being actively involved in pursuits to improve the mortgage industry. In 2008, she was appointed to a six year term on the Finance Commission of Texas, as the sole representative for the Texas mortgage industry. The Finance Commission regulates Texas banks, Texas thrifts, mortgage lenders and other financial entities. She previously served from 1999-2006 on the Texas Savings and Mortgage Lending Advisory Board. She was a co-founder of the Greater Houston Association of Mortgage Brokers. At GHAMB, she served as a past president and director for over ten years. She regularly conducts training seminars for real estate companies and does public speaking on mortgage issues for real estate offices, title companies and the mortgage industry. She is married and has a son in college. She is longtime Houston Rocket season ticket holder and enjoys music, travel and antiques.
