Robin R. Wendler has focused on the structural design and engineering of educational facilities at ZFA for over 20 years. Her project portfolio includes numerous modernizations of existing facilities, plus a wealth of new campuses and primary structures, such as classrooms, administration and performing arts buildings, libraries, and gymnasiums. Her extensive experience allows her to work effectively with architects to provide creative and responsive structural designs for all types of school buildings. Diverse construction types, including wood framing with plywood shear walls, CMU or concrete tilt-up walls with steel or wood roof framing, and multi-story steel framing systems, are synthesized into cohesive, well-coordinated construction documents. In addition to her design work, Robin has been a plan check consultant for the Division of the State Architect (DSA) and has a broad understanding of the detailed code requirements for public schools, which greatly facilitates the design and approval process.
