Robert A. Jones practices primarily federal litigation of Fair Labor Standards Act claims, and also defends public officers in civil rights cases. He is a former Captain in the New York State Police, where he served as Assistant Counsel in charge of civil litigation before retiring with more than 22 years of service. While a member of the State Police, Mr. Jones held the additional ranks of Trooper, Sergeant, Investigator, Lieutenant/Zone Commander, and BCI Lieutenant. He has been qualified and testified as an expert witness in U.S. District Court on police procedures and confessions, and has taught extensively for law enforcement agencies on many aspects of police law. Mr. Jones is an alumnus of the FBI National Academy (153rd Session) and the FBI National Law Institute (1st Session). He received a B.S. degree from Bryant College in Smithfield Rhode Island and obtained his law degree from Western New England College School of Law.Robert A.
