Mechanical and biomedical patents, patentability, infringement and validity opinions, drafting and negotiating licenses, trademark preparation and prosecution, and counseling on intellectual property matters. Mr. Wesorick's practice is focused on drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications in the mechanical and biomedical devices for clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to individual inventors. This focus extends to international patent procurement and prosecution, as he has substantial experience working with PCT applications in both the International and National Phases. In addition, Mr. Wesorick is experienced in the preparation of patentability, infringement and validity opinions, including conducting searches for each of these types of opinions. Mr. Wesorick is also active in drafting and negotiating licenses for his clients. Further, Mr. Wesorick handles trademark applications and prosecution for several of the firm's clients. In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, Mr. Wesorick functions as part-time in-house Patent Counsel for a large non-profit academic medical center. In this role, Mr. Wesorick advises management and licensing personnel on patent strategy, counsels inventors and researchers on patent matters, conducts educational seminars on intellectual property, leads the invention review committee in evaluating new inventions, and reviews and prepares intellectual property licenses. Before entering law school in 1992, Mr. Wesorick worked for four years as an engineer with G.E. Aircraft Engines, during which time he became an inventor of a U.S. Patent (No. 5,178,003). Education ?
