If you ask Randy Price what he enjoys about working with The Mathews Company, he is quick to note the diverse types of transactions and projects he handles, along with the close-knit, employee-focused environment. "I wanted to work at a company where I would have an impact. Here at Mathews, you work with the owners, and I think that's a real draw and a reason why you see a number of people who have been here 25 or 30 years." Randy, who has been with The Mathews Company since 1988, oversees a staff of nine accounting professionals whose responsibilities include financial management and reporting for the investment property owners, the construction company, and the brokerage operations. When Randy is not developing and maintaining accounting procedures for The Mathews Company, he can often be found preparing for his weekend appointment as a middle school Sunday school teacher or coaching soccer at the Hendersonville Soccer Club, where both of his sons are players. Before joining The Mathews Company, Randy was an accountant with Arthur Andersen. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1983 and became a certified public accountant in 1985. Randy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Real Estate Companies, and the Construction Financial Management Association.
