Rachel Docekal, MBA,Ed.D is the Chief Executive Officer for the Hanley Center Foundation, the nonprofit entity designed to support the center's addiction research, education and treatment programs, as well as capital improvements to the center's main campus in West Palm Beach and its 28-day residential facility in Vero Beach. In this role, she is responsible for board and donor relations, fundraising events and creating fund development strategies. As the prevalence of addiction increases around the nation, especially among teens and older adults, Docekal is committed to creating programs to support Hanley's Hope Fund. The special fund provides financial assistance to those seeking treatment for alcoholism or chemical dependency, but are unable to afford it due to limited financial resources or restrictions on insurance coverage. Docekal is a noted development and marketing professional, consultant and lecturer. Over the course of her 20-year career in fund development and marketing, she has worked for a variety of nonprofit organizations, including the South Florida Science Museum and Nova Southeastern University. During her time at the University, Docekal led advancement during the planning and construction of the campus's 110,000-sq. ft. Jim & Jan Moran Family Center Village. Docekal earned an undergraduate degree from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA and her masters of business administration with a concentration in marketing from Katz School at the University of Pittsburgh. She received her doctorate in organizational leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
