Mr. Shust serves as a manager on multistate tax matters for multiple industries. He confers on all aspects of income and franchise including nexus evaluations, corporate restructurings, state income/franchise tax return compliance matters and state tax provision analysis. Recently, Mr. Shust assisted a large client with the transition from a broker-dealer to a bank holding company. His clients include businesses ranging from pharmaceutical to banking. Mr. Shust has ten year's experience at KPMG in the state and local tax area. In addition to his accounting background, he also has a background in the financial markets. For ten years, he worked on the New York and American Stock Exchanges. During this time, Mr. Shust worked with equities, options, futures and exchange traded funds. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2004. In 2008, Paul formed Pro-Tech Energy Solutions LLC in order to deliver a more complete energy efficiency product to the marketi.e., energy efficiency combined with renewable energy. Paul's focus has been the development of financial models to assist clients in analyzing the return on investment in these projects. In addition, Mr. Shust has assisted clients in applying for the US Treasury Grant for renewable energy projects.
