Nelson J. Shaffer serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. He also serves as Office Principal for Philadelphia, PA. Nelson joined the firm in 1979 and has experience in transportation project management and organizational management. He has a BA in Sociology from Western Maryland College (McDaniel) and a Masters Degree in Transportation Engineering from Villanova University. Nelson sits on Pennoni's Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. A Fellow and life member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Nelson served as President of the Mid-Atlantic Section and District 2 in ITE as well as the International Director for the District. He is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) and the current vice-chairman of the Southwest Delaware County Municipal Authority. He has been a member of the Villanova CEE Advisory Committee since 2004.
