Millard D. Brown has more than 30 years experience developing and implementing crisis and change management for both public and private companies. He is a strategic thinker with a passion for creating and implementing positive change. His assignments with Beane Associates, Inc. include: Representing the debtor in the stabilization, turnaround and restructuring of a $70 million textile company. Mill was instrumental in consolidating three geographically dispersed plants into one centralized facility, while outsourcing 80% of the product to low cost overseas suppliers. Representing the secured creditor in the orderly wind-down of a multi-state $250 million scrap recycling company. Representing the secured creditor in the restructuring proceedings of a $300 million aluminum smelter and aerospace parts manufacturer. Mill provided expertise to various financially distressed companies owned by an investment trust. Working either as an interim CEO or as turnaround consultant, Mill was able to increase the customer base of many of the portfolio companies by an average of 18% and relied heavily on lean manufacturing techniques to substantially increase margins and throughput. As CEO of a national electronics distributor Mill returned the company to profitability while increasing revenues from $58 million to $80 million. Prior to that, Mill worked for General Electric Corporation and Hercules, Inc. and was promoted to progressively more responsible management positions in quality, facilities, manufacturing and engineering. While in management positions at GE and Hercules, Mill had a parallel career in the Army Reserves until he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He spent a year in Vietnam with the Corps of Engineers where he earned the Army Commendation and Bronze Star metals. Mill earned a M.S. in Industrial Management from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute and a B.S. in Industrial Distribution from Clarkson University. He also completed two general management courses at GE's Crotonville. Mill is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association and the Association for Manufacturing Excellence, Inc.
