Michael Vaughan, President and Co-Founder of RLS, is a leading authority on training technology, gaming, and business simulations. Over the course of his 16-year career, Vaughan has focused extensively on learning technology innovations, having worked on teams that developed the first computer simulation portal and one of the training industry's first learning and content management systems. He is a recognized expert in the areas of computer-aided business simulations, new media-leveraged training design, and rapid prototyping of creative learning solutions. Vaughan is the author of The End of Training: How Simulations are Reshaping Business, in which he explores the applicability of computer-aided simulation technologies to training and workforce development within organizations. Before co-founding RLS in 2003, Vaughan served as director of WisdomLink, a division of International Learning Systems (ILS), vice president of Technology for Alignmark/Thomson Publishing, and senior vice president for the former LogicBay Corporation (now KLi). Vaughan currently serves on a number of boards in an advisory capacity to member companies of the Interactive Gaming and Simulations Alliance (IGSA). He holds degrees in cognitive science and computer science.
