Mr. Michael J. Parrish is one of Select's most respected leaders, having successfully led two large regions to impressive growth and profitability. Now a Senior Vice President over the Southern and Northeastern United States, Michael leads his local teams to focus on exceptional customer service while paying strict attention to margin profitability. Michael has also been instrumental in streamlining Select's Accounts Receivable reporting and field-level DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) monitoring, making it easier for individual branches to understand their aging reports and track client pay status. Michael first joined the Select team in 1989 as a Personnel Supervisor/ Recruiter. Over the course of the next 3 years he was promoted to both Personnel Manager and Branch Manager. In 1993, Michael went to work for United Parcel Service (UPS) where he enjoyed a 12-year career and worked in a variety of capacities: Account Manager, International Sales Manager, Region/District Marketing Manager and finally as part of their Strategic and National Accounts sales team. He returned to Select in July of 2005, assuming the position of Regional Manager. All these experiences have allowed Michael to refine his skills and business understanding across a broad range of customer segments (size and industry). He has successfully employed effective sales strategies, marketing techniques and helped mentor many staff members in their own career development. Of note, is Michael's accomplishment as an International Sales Manager for UPS in Los Angeles where more of Michael's subordinates were promoted to next-level positions than any other sales manager. Michael frequently draws upon his well-rounded education, which includes an English degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from California State University Northridge. Mr. Parrish currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife and four children.
