Michael F. Hughes is chairman and founder of Huen Electric, one of five top electrical contracting firms in the Chicago area. Under Mr. Hughes? leadership, Huen has successfully completed progressively larger and more complex electrical contracting projects in diverse markets, including healthcare, specialty projects, institutional, multi-unit residential and industrial. He also has led expansion of operations from several locations in Illinois to additional offices in New York and New Jersey. Mr. Hughes is active in many industry and community organizations, including the Electrical Commission for the City of Oak Brook, the Chicago High Rise Committee, and the IBEW Local No. 134. In addition, he serves as vice president of the board of ACE Tech Charter High School, which teaches and trains highly qualified inner city youths about the construction industry in areas of architecture, engineering and construction trades. Mr. Hughes serves as board president for the Chicago Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, is an Advisory Council member for Misericordia/Heart of Mercy Home, and a board member for Lewis University.
