Melissa Mack oversees all aspects of Kaplan's corporate branding and communications activities including marketing and brand strategy, media relations, internal communications, and corporate positioning and promotion. She also serves as Chairman of the Kaplan Educational Foundation. Mack is the managing editor of the Kaplan/Newsweek How to Get Into College? guide and has overseen Kaplan's role in several other Kaplan/Newsweek newsstand publications. Mack joined Kaplan in 1992, and has presided over Kaplan's marketing communications function as the company has evolved from a $75 million company in 1992 to a more than $2.6 billion company in 2009. Mack came to Kaplan from the New York public relations firm Rubenstein Associates, where she handled public relations for numerous clients in NY and across the country, in areas such as business, real estate and education. She previously worked at David Wachsman Associates. Mack serves on the Arts & Sciences Bachelor's of Science in Communications Advisory Board for Kaplan University and on the Education Industry Leadership Board. She holds a B.A. degree from Brown University.
