Matthew Azoulay concentrates his practice in the acquisition, development (including land use and zoning matters) and disposition of commercial, retail, industrial, redevelopment, affordable housing, hotel/hospitality, self-storage and residential projects. He also represents public and private companies in regard to general corporate matters, including the purchase and sale of businesses, and lenders and borrowers in connection with loan and other financing transactions. Mr. Azoulay provides a broad and comprehensive range of services in connection with the firm's bankruptcy and insolvency practice, in connection with loan documentation; collateral review and enhancements; out of court workouts and forbearance arrangements; workouts and restructures of non performing and/or underperforming structure financings and securitizations; 363 sales pursuing the rights of trade creditors focusing primarily on reclamation and section 503(b)(9) claims and assumption of contracts; and proactively addressing and defending alleged preferential and/or fraudulent transfer avoidance actions. Mr. Azoulay is currently working on a renewable energy project including the Solar Renewable Energy Certificate (SREC) Registration Program (SRP) and SREC Credits thereunder. It also includes representation in connection with the financing through institutional lenders of this project. He also represents the seller of undeveloped land to a national renewable energy company for development of solar energy project.
