Dr. Rosenbloom is a board-certified emergency physician and founding author of PEPID, which began as a collection of his notes once entered into an early-model personal digital assistant. Dr. Rosenbloom earned his MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1978 and soon began his ascent in the corporate world, becoming executive vice president and information technology director of America's third-largest newsstand publishing company. Dr. Rosenbloom left the corporate world in 1986 to earn his MD from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University and then completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Illinois. While in medical school, he won prestigious awards for research and biochemistry, and earned Academic Outstanding Achievement status in just two years. In addition to serving as PEPID's CEO, Dr. Rosenbloom is founder and chairman of The Unicorn Children's Foundation, a member of the Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders, and a fellow of both the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the Royal Society of Medicine. Dr. Rosenbloom also served as a faculty member at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University for 15 years.
