Mark B. Florian, Managing Director, joined First Reserve in 2008 to lead First Reserve's energy infrastructure fund. Mr. Florian's responsibilities include investment origination, structuring, execution, monitoring and exit strategy, with particular emphasis on the worldwide energy infrastructure sector. Prior to joining First Reserve, Mr. Florian was a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Goldman Sachs? Public Sector and Infrastructure Department, managing its Infrastructure Investment Banking business, and was on the Investment Committee for Goldman Sachs Infrastructure Partners. Mr. Florian also spent time in the public finance, corporate finance, and mergers groups at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Florian holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science and a B.A. degree in Economics Magna Cum Laude from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
