Mark Denneen founded Denneen & Company in 1993 to develop a consulting practice that would be highly skilled in brand management , marketing capabilities and enterprise growth strategy. As CEO of Denneen & Company and a practicing consultant, Mark plays a hands-on role in leading complex projects that identify and drive critical short- and long-term growth strategies. He leads and coaches client teams on strategy and management issues, and advises on the implementation and stewardship of growth initiatives. He has worked with clients across a broad range of industries, including consumer packaged goods; financial services; health care; higher education; manufacturing; oil, gas, and petrochemicals; and retail. His consulting work is highly regarded for its contribution to clients' business performance, and for the skill and knowledge transfer that helps build competencies among management within the client's organization. Previously, Mark gained experience in general management, strategy, consumer packaged goods marketing, and organizational leadership as a brand manager in the Health Care Division of Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati. He also served as an account director at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising in New York, where he managed the Johnson & Johnson and McNeil Consumer Products accounts. Prior to founding Denneen & Company, he served as the chief operating officer of IST, a New Jersey-based direct marketing and contract manufacturing firm serving the Fortune 500, where he managed a 200-person organization. A graduate of Milton Academy, Mark received his A.B. from Harvard College and his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. He has lectured before the American Marketing Association, the American Management Association and Harvard University, among other institutions. Mark has served as a director and an adviser to many educational and nonprofit health care organizations, both in the Boston area and nationally. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Adams Memorial Foundation in Washington, D.C. and a member of the Head of School's Council at Milton Academy.
