Lisa Garcia serves as the director of Fiduciary Services for Atlantic Trust and as a managing director for the Boston office. With more than 26 years of industry experience, she is responsible for the organization's centralized oversight of fiduciary activities and the daily administration of its private investment funds. Since joining the firm in 2003, Lisa has served in several positions, including chief risk officer and director of tax, and she has been a member of the Fiduciary Services team. Prior to coming to Atlantic Trust, Lisa served as manager of Client Services at Loring, Wolcott, & Coolidge, a principal in the Charitable Gifts Office of State Street Global Advisors, and held positions in various capacities at Mellon Private Wealth Management, including stints as a vice president and manager of the Fiduciary Tax Department and team leader for the Planned Giving and Wholesale Trust Departments. Lisa began her career at Coopers & Lybrand in New York and is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Manhattan College, a Master of Science in Taxation with a Certificate of Tax Specialization, and a Master of Business Administration in Business Ethics, with distinction, from Bentley College. She serves on the Audit and Finance Committee of the New England Organ Bank in Newton, Massachusetts and is the chair of the Hospitality Committee at Grace Episcopal Church.
