Lindsay Gorrill is a seasoned executive with nearly 20 years of experience, where he's built grass-roots companies through developing staff, seizing opportunities, negotiating with international governmental bodies and conveying a company's story clearly and effectively to the public. Most notable in his career was Mr. Gorrill's 13-year tenure as CEO of WGI Minerals, where he and an associate, developed the company, which grew from zero employees to be an effective International Industrial Mining organization. Upon his departure, the company had a market cap of approximately $240 million, with plants in India, the United States and Germany, and offices in the United States, Canada, Germany, Holland, Korea, Sri Lanka and Dubai. Through Mr. Gorrill's diligence and high-level negotiations, WGI Minerals became the first 100% foreign-owned mining company operating in India, where it developed titanium and garnet minerals. As the company grew, it built additional plants; with gold and garnet production in Idaho, and silicon carbide and mineral recycling in Germany. With the establishment of contacts in 26 different countries, Mr. Gorrill sold WGI's commodities world-wide. WGI was started as an initial $60k investment, and grew to a market cap of approximately $240 million prior to Mr. Gorrill's departure from WGI in 2004. Lindsay Gorrill takes pride in his ability to develop projects out of an idea, and move them forward towards completion. His most recent activity has been developing a privately-held fluorspar property in Newfoundland, Canada. As a leading consultant since April 2007, he's brokered the completion of all drilling activities, helped raise funds through negotiating a $10 million interest-free loan through the Newfoundland government and an additional $8 million through private shareholders, as well as guiding a feasibility study toward a December 2010 completion date and an anticipated production goal of late 2012. Mr. Gorrill holds a BBA in Finance and Marketing from Simon Fraser University as well as CA accreditation in the province of British Columbia. Along with his experience at WGI, Mr. Gorrill held a Senior Manager position with KPMG, and is also currently CEO of JayHawk Energy Inc. In his spare time Mr. Gorrill is a Director of the Mark Rypien Cancer Foundation, and is heavily involved as a coach and President of his local amateur soccer and hockey associations.
