both lost their youth to the wire and cable industry - a collective 60+ years experience in both manufacturing and sales of wire, cable and connectors... Since 1966, Alan worked for such notable (and re-invented) companies as Phalo (now CDT), ITT Suprenant (now Rockbestos Suprenant), Judd Wire (now owned by Sumimoto), and Brand-Rex (now part of General Cable). His vast knowledge of wire and cable design, especially insulation systems and their capabilities, has established him as a valuable resource to the many and varied companies Baribeault Associates enjoys as customers. He is most interested in supporting engineering groups, suggesting cable designs and sources which are optimal to the success of projects and meeting budget criteria. Connectors became Alan's next area of expertise. Baribeault Associates represents a number of high quality connector manufacturers with products for use in many different industries and environments. Alan tries to suggest connectorization methods which will make sense in the customer's application and also provide the best product for the money. In 1967, Leslie Baribeault began working for the late Tom Judd at Judd Wire in Turners Fall, MA. After working her way through manufacturing, shipping, QC positions and clerical positions, she found her calling inside sales. She left Judd in 1980, married Alan and moved with him to California in 1981. Establishing Baribeault Associates in 1985 was a natural progression for them both. Her responsibility at Baribeault Associates is "riding the desk"...assuring that customers' requirements are quoted and orders entered, facilitating communications between principals and customers, generally being a squeaky wheel on behalf of the customer, and daily trying to make order out of chaos. Baribeault Associates work across many industries and markets...from the heaviest transit cable to the tiniest medical connector applications. Their goal has been to represent a synergistic group of principals where multiple line sales are possible, resulting in a complete solution to an engineering problem or application. Alan and Leslie have between them six children, six grandchildren and two grand-dogs who keep them grounded and enthused about life. They're interested in helping you with your project or suggesting a fix for your electrical or electronic problem.
