Lawrence Hibbert is a dedicated and passionate leader, entrepreneur, and community servant that seeks to improve the lives of others by addressing challenges that affect people, collectively and individually, and supports them in reaching and achieving their goals. Throughout his personal and professional journey, Mr. Hibbert has sought to leverage his knowledge, experiences and resources to support the fulfillment of this mission in businesses, organizations, and the community. Currently, he is a Founder, President, and Chief Technology Officer for BCT Partners, a strategic management, technology, and organization development consulting firm based in Newark, New Jersey. After its humble beginnings in his living room, BCT Partners has grown to become a multi-million dollar company that serves corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations in the following sectors: housing and community development, economic development, human services, healthcare, nonprofit and community technology, and education. Mr. Hibbert works with the Management Team to provide executive leadership and direction for all aspects of the company, including the management of internal operations, product and service offering, partnership opportunities, marketing, business development, technical direction, and sales support. His experience as entrepreneur extends over 13 years and includes three ventures: BCT Partners, Access One Corporation, and MBS Educational Services and Training. As a founder and managing partner in each of the businesses, Mr. Hibbert has established himself as seasoned businessman with deep experience in building, developing, and growing thriving businesses. At MBS, Mr. Hibbert served as a Managing Partner responsible for directing and growing all key business areas including instructional design, workshop facilitation, and training. He created, managed, and facilitated professional development training for emerging and seasoned professionals in Fortune 500 companies including Merck, General Motors, and PNC Bank. Access One's mission was to equip residential and commercial real estate for the 21st century by implementing innovative and sustainable, broadband network solutions. As a Managing Partner, Mr. Hibbert provided technical leadership in developing wired and wireless solutions for public and private housing. Before establishing himself as an entrepreneur, Mr. Hibbert gained significant corporate and technical experience while working at Merrill Lynch, General Electric (GE), and Tyco (formerly AMP Incorporated). He was an Assistant Vice President and Network Services Manager for Merrill Lynch's Private Client Architecture Group where he managed the organization's development infrastructure. At General Electric, he served as Wired Area Network Engineer responsible for maintaining the GE Global Business Network. Within the community, Mr. Hibbert supported the Transition Team for the City of Newark's Mayor, Cory Booker. He provided input in crafting the strategic vision for technology in the administration and served as a member of the Small Business Development Subcommittee for Economic Development. He is a proud member of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset, New Jersey, where he is ordained Deacon and Technology Advisor. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University and a MBA with a concentration in Finance from Rutgers Business School (Executive MBA Program). He is happily married to his beautiful wife, Patrell, and resides in Franklin Park, New Jersey with their sons, Caleb Joseph (4) and Joshua Christopher (2).
