Kristen M. Scott AIA, LEED AP, leads Weber Thompson's Low-Rise Architecture team. Her focus is on pedestrian-oriented community design, low-rise multifamily architecture and condominium design. Ms. Scott designs projects that incorporate market-based research to create spaces that appeal to the needs and desires of the end user. This focus is apparent in the projects she has led, including the pedestrian-focused Crofton Springs, a 6.3-acre suburban community in Issaquah, WA, which includes a wide variety of residential building types. Ms. Scott joined the firm in 1989 and became a principal in 1996. A Seattle native, Ms. Scott is a licensed architect in the state of Washington and received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Architecture from the University of Washington. She is an active member in the Seattle component of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), where she has held several board positions, including most recently the office of President in 2003 - 2004. She is a LEED-accredited professional and a member of the Master Builders Association. Ms. Scott's practice emphasizes collaboration. Her background in psychology has strongly influenced her ability to bring people together to focus on the client's project objectives in concert with the design team's goals, creating successful projects completed on time and on budget.
