A native of Grand Forks. 1977 graduate of the University of North Dakota. Started as a teller at First National Bank (now Alerus Financial). Inaugural winner of the ATHENA Regional Award, given annually to a woman or man who has assisted women in reaching their full potential; demonstrates excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession; and provides valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community. Current chair of the Altru Breast Center campaign. Altru Health Foundation board member. Has held leadership positions in a number of regional organizations, including: North Dakota School of Banking Grand Forks Chamber Leadership Conference Grand Forks Chamber of Commerce Downtown Leadership Group Active supporter of the American Cancer Society and the United Way.
