Mr. Ampy serves as Astyra's Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he is responsible for the company's overall leadership, direction, and vision; raising the business community's awareness of the corporation. His knowledge of technology, business, and problem solving spans more than 20 years. Mr. Ampy has a technology background. He has firsthand experience in all phases of project execution, management, analysis & design, development, testing and implementation. His leadership skills and knowledge of technology have become the foundation of Astyra's rapid and successful growth. A country boy at heart, Mr. Ampy is very active in the business community. He is directly involved with and has held senior leadership roles in several business and non-profit organizations to include: Science Museum of Virginia, Virginia Council of CEO's, Virginia Early Childhood Foundation, Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, Metropolitan Business League, Venture Richmond, Greater Richmond Technology Council, Virginia Hi-Tech Partnership, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. In addition, in 2005, Mr. Ampy was appointed by Governor Mark Warner, and reappointed in 2009 by Governor Tim Kaine, to serve on the Board of Visitors of his alma mater Old Dominion University. In this role, Mr. Ampy has served as the Chairman of the Academic and Research Advancement Committee, Chairman of the Student Advancement Committee, and as Secretary of the Board. Mr. Ampy is also a business scholar; having attended Executive Management Programs at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business, the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
