With nearly 40 years of experience in the public and private sectors, Kelly Callison brings experienced management and leadership to IIa. He has held numerous senior-level management positions with responsibility for managing, staffing, and operational execution of large contracts for the Department of Energy, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Homeland Security, and the National Science Foundation. Callison has a solid technical background in information technology and engineering. As a senior manager, he has a track record of acquiring new work, expanding existing contracts, building and running an efficient organization, and exceeding revenue and profit estimates. Prior to joining IIa, Callison was Vice President and Deputy General Manager of the Civilian Operations Group at NCI Information Systems, Inc., a leading information technology, systems engineering and integration company. With a staff of 450, he was responsible for delivering a broad range of services, including Enterprise Systems Management, Information Assurance, Network Engineering, and Systems Development and Integration. He managed all aspects of operations, business development, and proposal development. He also served as Director of Federal Civilian Operations for Battelle. Battelle is a global science and technology enterprise that develops and commercializes technology and manages laboratories for customers. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, they have a vast science and technology reach. As Director, Callison was responsible for delivering information technology solutions throughout the Federal Government. He managed all aspects of operations, business development, and proposal development Callison's career in the private sector follows a very successful twenty-year career as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard. His military service included duty at the United States Coast Guard Academy, Group Detroit, Governors Island in New York, Twelfth District in San Francisco, and Headquarters in Washington, DC. He served in a number of different roles, including Head of the Computer Science Department, Deputy Group Commander, Branch Chief, and Engineering Officer. Callison received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the Coast Guard Academy, and he holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He is a certified Project Management Professional.
