I started out as a theatre major and when I realized I wasn't so talented on the stage, I needed a place to balance my creative side with my analytical side. What was your finest moment? I have never had at defining moment in my career but rather a series of great opportunities to work with some smart people. The most exciting moment was developing a truly holistic campaign for Widmer Bros. Brewing long before "holism" was a word. It was just exciting seeing everyone rally behind a smart idea. Do you have a method for coming up with ideas and solutions for clients? Besides a stiff drink? Not really. Ideas don't generally come from process or methods but by keeping an eye on the consumer and talking about things. The best ideas just seem to happen naturally - once you come up with the idea - that is when the hard work starts. What makes a great brand? Smart people and the willingness to take risks. What talent do you wish you had? That is tough - it is a tie between being able to fly and time travel. What is your favorite sports team? The University of Oregon football team. Go Ducks!
