As senior vice president & general manager, Keisha serves as the second in command at the firm working with the president and CEO on new business and the management of the firm's business operations. In addition to these duties, Keisha is also responsible for the management of the firm's media and promotions and creative departments. Keisha currently manages the U.S. Army and the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) accounts, which is a drug campaign that targets youth about the dangers of smoking marijuana. A 13-year veteran of the firm, Keisha has also served as the vice president/media and promotions director for three years, and the media and promotions director for two years, planning and buying print, out-of-home and broadcast media for the firm's clients including the California Lottery, Southern California Edison, Federated Department Stores and Nissan North America. In addition, she managed the relationships with the firm's media partners and supervised the firm's media assistants. As an experienced member of the team, Keisha understands the importance of account management and client services. For five years, she served on the account side, in which she managed the day-to-day activities for Southern California Edison and Verizon (formerly GTE) telephone service. In addition to her corporate clients, she also handled media relations and advertising for government and nonprofit clients including Los Angeles World Airports, the Californians Against Higher Taxes and Higher Electric Rates-No On 9 Coalition, the California Department of Health Services - Immunization Branch and Great Beginnings for Black Babies. Keisha was recently featured in PRWeek Magazine where she participated in a roundtable discussion regarding diverse viewpoints on multicultural communications. Johnson Publications, the publishers of Ebony and Jet magazine, recently named Keisha One of the Most Outstanding Women in Marketing and Communications. She has also managed accounts that have received honors from the Publicity Club of Los Angeles, the Communicator Awards and the Silver Microphone Awards. In 1998, Keisha was also named Employee of the Year at the firm. Aside from her duties, Keisha serves as a guest speaker at various events, organizations, and universities discussing the African American and Hispanic consumer markets. She has served as a panelist for the National Newspaper Publishers Association, the National Association of Hispanic Publications Inc., the National Hispanic Press Foundation, the Los Angeles African American Women's Public Policy Institute, The Multicultural Summit, the Black College Expo, the National PTA Convention, the Girls Club of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Urban League Young Professionals and the University of Southern California. The Los Angeles native holds a bachelor's degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in business administration from Howard University in Washington, DC.
