John Stephens, MD, CFA, CFP®, MBA, a shareholder at TCI Wealth Advisors, focuses on helping clients simplify their financial lives by serving as their consultative advisor. John uses the same academic approach he used while practicing primary care medicine in his daily conversations with his patients. He specializes in helping medical doctors and senior level executives build and maintain wealth, independent from their businesses. In 2010, John was named in Medical Economics magazine's list of the country's 150 best financial advisors for doctors. John, his wife and five children live in Tucson. He is actively involved with community youth sports and children's health-care advocacy organizations. John serves on the Board of Children's Clinics for Rehabilitative Services and is active in the local Financial Planning Association (FPA), Chartered Financial Analyst chapter and Southern Arizona Estate Planning Council. He is a sports enthusiast and enjoys horseback riding, cycling and golf. John remains a loyal University of Arizona and Stanford supporter.
