John Rapa is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Tellefsen and Company, L.L.C. (TCL) and has over 30 years experience in the financial services industry. He has a broad, international background in front and back office environments of securities broker-dealers, investment banks, information vendors, equity, options and futures exchanges. His extensive experience includes: strategic planning, business continuity planning, in-depth knowledge of the workings of the worldwide capital markets industry, network computing and technology consulting to the global capital markets arena. He is noted for his expertise and knowledge in equity, options and futures exchanges and been associated with a number of successful exchange automation and e-commerce projects in the past fifteen years. Prior to his association with TCL, Mr. Rapa directed the sales and marketing for the IBM Corporation's Exchanges line of business from 1996 until October, 1997 and Stratus Computer Inc.'s Capital Markets industry from 1987 - 1996. His industry background includes employment with Oppenheimer & Co., E.F. Hutton & Co., Merrill Lynch and the Securities Industry Automation Corp. (SIAC). Mr. Rapa attended Pace University in New York City and holds a degree in Information Systems. In addition, John has been designated a Certified Business Continuity Planners (CBCP) by DRI International, the disaster recovery institute.
