John Cate has worked in the industry for more than 20 years and offers expertise in traditional and digital media strategy and agency operations. As EVP and General Manager of Mediasmith, Cate will assume media management responsibilities in addition to joining the Mediasmith Executive Committee. Cate has expertise in integrating traditional and digital media, and has worked with a diverse array of clients, including packaged goods, enterprise technology, financial services, consumer electronics, and retail. His experience in operations includes revenue reporting, talent acquisition, organizational and service line design, pricing/compensation and revenue generation. Cate previously held the role of EVP and General Manager for Carat/Aegis PLC. He has also been the VP Media Director for Leftfield PLC, TBWA Chiat/Day, Ketchum Advertising, and was Assistant Media Director for McCann Erikson. Cate has a degree in advertising from San Jose State University.
