Ms. Griffin is an active volunteer in the Greater Albuquerque community. She is frequently recognized for her work and has received numerous awards including the American Marketing Association's Marketer of the Year, the National Association of Female Executive's Female Executive of the Year and YWCA's Women on the Move awards. She has received numerous Conquistador awards by the Public Relations Society of America, and other awards from the American Marketing Association, is a graduate of the prestigious Leadership Albuquerque program and is recognized in several Who's Who publications. Ms. Griffin is well known in Bernalillo County, not only for her work professionally, but for the various community organizations she serves. Among these are the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, the Rio Grande Minority Purchasing Council, the National Association of Women Business Owners, the New Mexico Women's Foundation, the New Mexico Advertising Federation and the Great Southwest District of Civitan International. With all these organizations, Ms. Griffin has implemented successful promotion campaigns, which dramatically increased membership and profitability. Ms. Griffin received a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Colorado. She taught marketing, advertising and public relations at CNM's Small Business Development Center and the University of New Mexico's Continuing Education Division. Additionally, Ms. Griffin has led personal effectiveness seminars for Landmark Education for 20 years, training over 10,000 people during that time.
