Jim's background, prior to joining Business Benefits, focused on training and customer service in the technology field. Today, he is a respected leader in the employee benefits industry. Jim currently serves as an advisor to United Healthcare on a council, providing feedback on various approaches to consumer driven health plans. Jim has also served on advisory councils to both Humana and Anthem. He frequently conducts seminars on consumer driven health plans and HSAs. His audiences have included banks, accounting firms, Northern Kentucky Home Builders Association, and Greater Cincinnati Electrical Contractors Association. Academic background 1985: Northern Kentucky University Highland Heights, Kentucky Bachelors Degree - Math and Computer Science 1980: Covington Latin School Covington, Kentucky Work experience 1985-1994 RL Polk & Co. Systems Engineer- servicing the automobile manufacturers with specialized marketing information. Length of service with Business Benefits Since 1994 Professional and community involvement Jim has generously volunteered his time and expertise to many business and community organizations such as: carrier advisory boards, board member of the Greater Cincinnati Association of Health Underwriters, and numerous committees of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Jim currently serves on the chamber's Board of Advisors, chair of the Health Care Issues committee, and on the steering committee for HR100. Jim currently also serves on St. Henry District High School and St. Paul School Boards of Education. He is also active in other associations such as: KPHRA, Airport Area Industrial Association (AAIA), and Northern Kentucky Leadership Foundation. Outside of the Office Jim enjoys activities such as golf, swimming, and bicycling. He also enjoys watching his children play soccer all year round.
