As PowerPhone's Vice President of Training and Technology, Jerry Turk is responsible for building instructional modules and technology solutions that are at the forefront of emergency communications and response. He is the co-inventor of Computer Aided Call Handling (CACH), a revolutionary approach to emergency and non-emergency call taking, and Incident Linked Multimedia (ILM), the first system that intelligently processes cell phone multimedia messages sent to 9-1-1 centers. Mr. Turk holds a U.S. patent on "Call Handler Systems and Methods" and is the co-author of several more patents relating to emergency communications response systems. He has served on a number of professional committees, including the National Emergency Number Association QA/QI Standards Workgroup. Prior to joining PowerPhone, Mr. Turk worked as a civilian project manager for the Dorset Police Headquarters in Dorset, England. Before joining the police, he worked for 20 years in the ambulance service as an EMT, control manager and communications systems manager.
